The Vala'EIEN Complete
SO BEGINS THE VALA’EIEN
THE STORY OF TIME
IN VERSE AND RHYME
∞
OR BETTER KNOWN
AS THE HYMN OF EIEN
∞∞
One must know the end.
Only then can one truly see,
That there is no true beginning.
And so, Death caught Life,
And they were One to bring the end.
THE EIEN TRINITY
Part I: Of Death, & the End of All
Once upon a time,
Death chased Life across the universe.
Through ocean and sky,
Both near, low, and high.
Past sun and moon,
He chased her in tune.
Until at last he caught her,
Much to Time’s dismay,
For to her that meant ending…
It all? Whose to say?
Life and Death became One,
As it all fell apart,
And Time fell asleep,
Round each of their hearts,
So Time came to rest,
In the shape of infinity,
And all that was left,
Were the rings of their trinity.
Part II: Of the Time Between
Not much can be said,
Of the time in-between,
For it is not but a moment,
And cannot be seen.
It could last for an era,
Or end in a flash,
All we know is one thing,
We rise from the ash.
Part III: Of Life, & the Breath of All
The cosmos and all,
Had been shaped into rings,
And all was then still,
As sleep often brings.
Yet the Elements of Eien,
Were beginning to stir,
And those very same rings,
Were starting to turn.
Fire and Earth and Water and Wind,
Like children they sang to Eien a hymn.
And in that hymn,
Was Lightning born,
To spark the cosmos,
With the great storm sworn.
The Elements laughed,
As their song churned the rings,
Awakening Eien,
From the center of things.
Life and Death a mere thought,
Though still together as One.
It perceived in itself,
That its end was to come.
By fear it was torn,
As it watched the great storm,
There was only one answer,
The two must be forsworn.
Yet then in the judgement,
Of forsaking its own,
Did Life’s love glimpse the future,
Where it all might be born.
Alas, it was One,
But splitting between!
The cracks in infinity,
Waking Time from her dream.
And with one great breath,
Did Life rip herself free,
As she blew forth the storm,
Of EIEN’s Trinity.
The storm spiraled out into all stars and space,
And the birth of all things was breathed into place.
II
OF LIGHTNING
&
THE GREAT STORM SWORN
THE HIDDEN HYMN
That it all became,
Had the Elements stirred,
And change took the reins.
Then with a flash and a spark,
Was Lightning born,
From the ice and the voice,
Of a distant storm.
The voice was a hymn,
Of Fire, Earth, Water and Air,
A song from with which,
Brought Lightning to glare.
For from them he knew,
That he had been born.
A knowledge in which,
Left him feeling quite torn.
Of Fire and Earth and Water and Wind,
Without which he knew he could never begin.
For only with Air, Could he quite come to be,
A knowing in which,
Left a tiny of Envy.
And so Lightning rose,
To challenge the Four.
He burned against Fire,
To see which was more.
He sparked against Water,
And the densest was found.
He challenged Earth,
To the greatest sound.
So came Thunder,
Yet none could he best.
Yet still he came forward,
To the final test.
He was to challenge the Wind,
Once and for all.
For his place as their equal,
Yet he was destined to fall.
So the Wind held her breath,
As her eyes danced with glee.
Then Lighting lost form,
And was bent to a knee,
Yet in that place,
Could he not remain,
For within him was Air,
From which Pride first came.
And so came the roar,
Of indomitable will,
And in refusing to lose,
Was his purpose fulfilled.
So Lightning stood,
And sparked into being the storm,
The one the Wind joined,
For simply the joy.
That same joy intrigued,
The other Children of kind,
And the song of their mirth,
Was awakening EIEN.
And so Lightning came,
To be the Fifth of the Four,
Life and Death were then split,
And the Seven were formed.
Time alone stood apart,
As the gods were reborn,
From the breath of all,
And the great storm sworn.
